1) Gail Asper pins a student with an Asper School pin at the annual Bachelor of Commerce Business Luncheon on September 8.

2) U of M students pose with Mayor Sam Katz at the annual Shinerama fundraising event for cystic fibrosis. Now in its 45th year, Shinerama is Canada’s largest university-based fundraiser for CF research. The U of M has participated for 25 years.

3) Members of the United Way’s campaign cabinet were on hand September 18 to announce this year’s fundraising goal of $18, 218, 778—half a million dollars more than last year. To help with the campaign kick-off teams from across the city flexed their muscle in the 6th Annual Plane Pull. Teams in both competitive and fun categories raced the clock to pull commercial jet aircraft the furthest distance.
